The Get Paid Site

Hi, my name is Colin Barnes and this is my blog. I’ve started this site as a way to help others to make money online. I’m not some huge Internet marketer who claims to know everything, but instead I’m just a regular guy wanting to share my experiences and knowledge with you. My goal is to help you make money online just as I have.

A little background information on me. My journey began about 3 years ago. I had a regular 9 to 5 job, that I actually enjoyed very much and was making decent money. However, I still wanted to see if I could make extra spare cash doing a second job because everyone can use some extra money right?

My curiosity brought me to seek out online opportunities and to see if there really were ways to get paid online. My search started by looking for a ‘data entry at home’ type of job because that seemed easy enough to get started. I saw a site claiming you could make tons of money doing simple data entry online. Of course there was a $50 or so fee to get the information needed to start up. My scam sensor is very sharp and I seriously had my doubts that what the site was claiming was true. However, my curious mind was anxious to see what they would be offering.

So I put in my $50 knowing that it full-well it probably wasn’t going to be as easy and simple to make money as it claimed. Well, my instincts were right because it was a very misleading website. It didn’t show you how could make money by doing data entry, but instead it was affiliate marketing packaged as data entry.

However, it wasn’t all for not, because it did introduce me to the world of affiliate marketing and search marketing that I hadn’t even know existed before. I spent about 6 months reading started by doing a ton of research on the topic and started to discover many other ways you could get paid online as well.

While the concept is simple, it does take a lot of research to really make sure you know what you’re doing, otherwise you’ll end up losing money. I was determined to get it started and make it work. It wasn’t really the money I would be making that was motivating me but rather that others were making money online and I felt left out.

This is why I’ve put this site together. I wanted to compress all the long hours of research and web searching and bring all the ways to get paid online directly to you. I learned the hard way. What took me a while to work out is that the real key to make money online is knowing HOW and WHERE to start. Without the right education and knowledge I wasted a lot of my precious time and money trying to make money online with methods that just did not work. If only I knew then, what I know now, I would have been able to put all that money to better use a lot earlier.

Hopefully you can skip all that painful hours of research I’ve already gone through and serve you the best of what there is out there.
