The Get Paid Site

I stumbled upon this pretty neat service that lets you monetize your website images. It is called BritePic and it is owned by the advertising company AdBrite.

Basically, what the service does is use the image currently hosted on your website and adds it to a flash movie that is hosted on the BritePic server. It will produce new block of HTML code to add to your page replacing the usual <img> tag, and now your photo will display with some spiffy flash features

Some of the flash features on your image include: rollover descriptions, picture zoom, and of course, a new way to earn revenue from the image. The new BritePic picture will include relevent Adbrite advertisements that appear on the top of the image when you place your roll your mouse on it. I’m not sure if the ads are contextual based on file name or you get to choose which ads to show.

Again, you probably won’t break the bank with the amount of money generated from pictures alone, but it can certainly help supplement your other website ads. Plus, even if you don’t use the ad option, you still get some cool features to add to your website images. I especially like having the zoom feature and being able to place your logo on the image.
